A Natural Treatment Plan for Pain
I have been seeing a chiropractor in Philadelphia for nearly three months now, and I have never felt better. I had not planned on adding another member to my wellness team, but my doctor felt that it was better to try a chiropractor to see why I was having so much pain in my neck and shoulders. He did not want to prescribe pain pills to me because too many people become addicted to them. He also didn’t want to just mask whatever was wrong. He knew that if there was a problem, a chiropractor is trained to find out what it is.
That turned out to be true, because the chiropractor that I chose ended up diagnosing me correctly after a physical examination. She could feel that things were just not right when she touched my neck and shoulders, and the X-rays confirmed her thoughts on what was going on. I am a diabetic, and she thought that it might be the beginning of what is known as frozen shoulder. I had heard of this before, but I thought that only older people got it. I am so glad that I went to her because she was able to do some manipulations and adjustments on me that have kept me feeling good since I started there.
She taught me several different exercises too, and she also taught me the proper way to stretch my neck and shoulders. I had no idea that there even was a proper way, so I am really thankful that she was so precise in helping me. I go twice a week for adjustments, and I also have a massage once a week. I have been feeling a lot better, and i am just glad that my doctor wanted me to go this route since it means a natural treatment plan.
